There was a surprise result in Inchon where ninth ranked KoGas (16-29) defeated higher ranked Goyang (21-21) 83-76 on Wednesday. KoGas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Devon Scott (206-1994, college: Dayton) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-1993, agency: Rigorer Korea Agency) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four KoGas players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) scored 14 points and 5 assists. Goyang's coach Byong-Chul Kim rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KoGas maintains ninth position with 16-29 record. Loser Goyang keeps the fifth place with 21 games lost. KoGas will again meet at home higher ranked Goyang (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Goyang will play against Wonju DB and hope to secure a win.
