We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Inchon where 8th ranked KCC Egis (16-24) were edged by ninth ranked KoGas (15-27) 81-79 on Sunday. KoGas looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-1990, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Gwan-Hee Lee (190-1988) added 13 points respectively. Four KCC Egis players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. KoGas maintains ninth place with 15-27 record. KCC Egis lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 24 games lost. KoGas will meet higher ranked Wonju DB (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KCC Egis will play against Goyang in Daegu and hope to secure a win.
