Regular Season Round 33: LG Sakers - Goyang 85-68

Rather expected game in Changwon where 5th ranked Goyang (20-20) was defeated by second ranked LG Sakers (28-15) 85-68 on Friday. LG Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 40. They outrebounded Goyang 47-27 including 19 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Dante Cunningham (203-1987, college: Villanova) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. The former international center Jun-Yl Kim (202-1992) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) who recorded 19 points and American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) added 5 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. LG Sakers maintains second place with 28-15 record having six points less than leader Anyang. Loser Goyang keeps the fifth position with 20 games lost. LG Sakers will meet at home Suwon KT (#6) in the next round. Goyang will play against KCC Egis and hope to secure a win.
