ASEAN League top team - Malaysian NS Matrix (10-3) managed to deliver another win on Tuesday. This time they beat eighth ranked Thailand Tigers (1-12) 96-86. They outrebounded Tigers 43-29 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Tevin Glass (203-1994, college: ETSU) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. The other American import guard Isaiah Williams (188-1995, college: Georgia St., agency: BIG) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. NS Matrix's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Augustus Stone (193, college: St.Thomas, FL) who recorded 26 points and 4 assists and guard Kittitep Dasom (179-1996) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Defending Malaysian champion maintains first position with 10-3 record, which they share with Saigon Heat. Tigers lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Louvre S.. NS Matrix will meet HK Eastern (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tigers will play against HK Eastern (#3) and hope to win that game.
