South Korea
Regular Season Round 30: Seoul Knights - KoGas 89-85
Date: February 11, 2023
Very expected game when 9th ranked KoGas (13-25) were defeated on the road by fourth ranked Seoul Knights (22-17) 89-85 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Seoul Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Joon-Young Choi (200-1994) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Murphy Holloway (201-1990, college: Ole Miss, agency: Octagon Europe) with 20 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-1993, agency: Rigorer Korea Agency) scored 20 points. Five KoGas players scored in double figures. KoGas' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Seoul Knights have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 22-17 record. KoGas lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 25 games lost. Seoul Knights will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. KoGas will play against the league's leader Anyang (#1) and hope to secure a win.
