Regular Season Round 28: LG Sakers - Wonju DB 76-74

Seventh-ranked Wonju DB (16-19) was very close to win a game against second ranked LG Sakers (24-14) in Changwon. LG Sakers managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected much easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds and Il-jung Kim who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Ethan Alvano (185-1996, college: CSUSM) responded with 19 points and 5 assists and the former international forward SangJae Kang (202-1994) scored 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. LG Sakers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 24-14 record having four points less than leader Anyang. Wonju DB at the other side keeps the seventh place with 19 games lost. LG Sakers will play against KoGas (#9) in Inchon in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wonju DB will play on the road against Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
