No shocking result in a game when first ranked Anyang (28-10) beat 5th ranked Goyang (18-19) in Daegu 82-65 on Thursday. Anyang dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 24. Anyang had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) supported him with 26 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Even a double-double of 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by guard Jin-Yu Kim (188-1994) did not help to save the game for Goyang. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Anyang have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 28-10 record. Loser Goyang keeps the fifth place with 19 games lost. Anyang will meet Suwon KT (#6) in the next round where they are favorite.
