Al Hilal dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Al Taawoun's 40. They outrebounded Al Taawoun 52-36 including a 40-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Hilal looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The former international center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-1998) accounted for 19 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Five Al Hilal players scored in double figures. American guard Darious Clark (193-1990, college: Slippery Rock, agency: Domantay Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists and Serbian power forward Aleksandar Marelja (207-1992, agency: BeoBasket) added 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Al Taawoun in the defeat. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 11-8 record, which they share with Al Wehda. Al Taawoun lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Al Adalah. Al Hilal will meet Deba (#8) in the next round. Al Taawoun will play against Al Fateh and hope to secure a win.
