West Asia Super League top team - UAE Shabab Al Ahli (4-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Omani Al Bashaer (0-4) in Dubai 92-61. Shabab Al Ahli outrebounded Al Bashaer 50-32 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Al Bashaer was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Qais Alshabebi (200-1991) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side and Bosnian forward Milan Milosevic (204-1985, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 17 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Shabab Al Ahli players scored in double figures. American guard Aaron Parks (190-1994, college: CSUN) came up with 25 points and 7 rebounds and guard Hadid Bait Bakhit (185-1999) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Al Bashaer in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Shabab Al Ahli have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending UAE champion maintains first place with 4-0 record. Defending Omani champion Al Bashaer still closes the standings with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
