Regular Season Round 22: Anyang - Suwon KT 83-85

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Anyang (20-8) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were edged by sixth ranked Suwon KT (13-14) 85-83. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Anyang. Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-1990, college: Ball St.) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-1997) chipped in 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) responded with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Four Suwon KT and five Anyang players scored in double figures. Anyang's coach Seung-Ki Kim tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Suwon KT have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Anyang at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. Suwon KT are looking forward to face KCC Egis (#6) in Jeonju in the next round. Anyang will play on the road against Mobis Phoebus (#4) in Ulsan and is hoping to win this game.
