Regular Season Round 19: Anyang - Goyang 84-82

Fifth-ranked Goyang (11-12) gave a tough game to first ranked Anyang (17-7) on Tuesday. Anyang managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Anyang dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 26 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Park Jihoon (184-1995) helped adding 17 points and 4 steals. Four Anyang players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and the former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) scored 19 points and 8 assists. Anyang maintains first place with 17-7 record. Goyang lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. Anyang are looking forward to face Mobis Phoebus (#3) in Ulsan in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Goyang will play at home against KoGas and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
