Qualifying Round Round 2: Al Hilal - Al Bashaer 86-54

The most important game of round 2 was a defeat of Omani Al Bashaer. They were crushed by Saudi Arabian Al Hilal 86-54 on Monday night. Al Hilal looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-1998) chipped in 15 points and 17 rebounds during the contest. Al Hilal's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Aaron Parks (190-1994, college: CSUN) responded with 22 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and center Mahmood Al-Souli (203-1993) scored 12 points. Al Bashaer will play next round against Kazma trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Al Hilal will try to continue on its current victory against Shabab Al Ahli in Dubai.
