There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Suwon KT (8-14) won against 8th ranked Wonju DB (10-12) in Busan 77-64 on Sunday. Suwon KT outrebounded Wonju DB 50-30 including a 32-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international center Yoongi Ha (203-1999) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Hungarian-American power forward Jarrod Jones (207-1990, college: Ball St.) supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Suwon KT players scored in double figures. Even 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 blocks by the former international center Jongkyu Kim (207-1991) did not help to save the game for Wonju DB. American power forward Dewan Hernandez (211-1997, college: Miami, FL) added 10 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suwon KT maintains tenth position with 8-14 record. Loser Wonju DB dropped to the sixth place with 12 games lost. Suwon KT will meet at home higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Wonju DB will have a break next round.
