Very expected game in Changwon where 9th ranked Seoul Thunders (8-14) were crushed by second ranked LG Sakers (13-9) 77-55 on Sunday. LG Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Seoul Thunders' 40. They outrebounded Seoul Thunders 47-31 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 22 rebounds. The former international center Jun-Yl Kim (202-1992) chipped in 15 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Emanuel Terry (206-1996, college: LMU) who recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds and forward Hyun-Ho Lee (192-1980) added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. LG Sakers maintains second place with 13-9 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Anyang. Seoul Thunders lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 14 games lost. LG Sakers will meet KoGas (#5) in the next round. Seoul Thunders will play against KCC Egis (#8) in Jeonju and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
