Regular Season Round 14: Seoul Knights - KCC Egis 83-88

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked KCC Egis (8-11) won against on the road higher ranked Seoul Knights (9-11) 88-83 on Saturday. KCC Egis looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international guard Woong Heo (183-1993) supported him with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four KCC Egis players scored in double figures. Even 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by the former international Joon-Young Choi (200-1994) did not help to save the game for Seoul Knights. The former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-1988) added 23 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. KCC Egis have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place. Defending champion Seoul Knights keep the fifth position with 11 games lost. KCC Egis will meet at home higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Seoul Knights will play against Wonju DB and hope to secure a win.
