Regular Season Round 13: Goyang - LG Sakers 84-85

The most exciting game of round 13 in the KBL took place in Daegu. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 3rd placed Goyang (9-7) to second ranked LG Sakers (12-8) 85-84 on Sunday evening. LG Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 28. American forward Dante Cunningham (203-1987, college: Villanova) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. LG Sakers' coach Sung-Won Cho used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-1991) added 27 points respectively for lost side. Four LG Sakers and five Goyang players scored in double figures. LG Sakers maintains second place with 12-8 record having just two points less than leader Anyang. Goyang at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. LG Sakers are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Suwon KT (#10) in Busan in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Goyang will play on the road against Mobis Phoebus (#3) in Ulsan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
