Regular Season Round 11: Goyang - Seoul Knights 68-93

An interesting game was also a 25-point surprising home defeat of 4th ranked Goyang in a game in Daegu versus Seoul Knights (#8) 93-68. Seoul Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Goyang's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Goyang's players. It was an exceptional evening for Sung-Won Choi who led the winners and scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) accounted for 19 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Lee Jung-Hyun (190-1999) added 13 points respectively for Goyang in the defeat. Five Seoul Knights and four Goyang players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion (7-10) moved-up to sixth place. Loser Goyang keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Seoul Knights will meet league's second-placed LG Sakers in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Goyang will play against Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
