Everything went according to plan in Medina where fifth ranked Ohod (7-3) outscored 10th ranked Al Salam (2-8) 113-88. Ohod made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Al Salam turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Jordan Washington (203-1993, college: Iona, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points and 17 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and point guard James Justice (178-1989, college: UT Southern) supported him with 33 points (!!!) and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Even 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals by forward Nick Stover (198-1993, college: USA) did not help to save the game for Al Salam. Center Anthony McClain (211-1988, college: Cincinnati) added 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ohod moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Fateh. Al Salam lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Ohod will play against Al Hilal (#7) in Riyadh in the next round. Al Salam will play against Al Adalah and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
