Regular Season Round 8: Anyang - Mobis Phoebus 85-92

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked Anyang (9-3) at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Mobis Phoebus (6-4) 92-85. Mobis Phoebus made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. American forward Gaige Prim (203-1999, college: Missouri St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. The former international power forward Ji-Hoon Ham (198-1984) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) added 19 points and 6 assists in the effort for Anyang. Five Mobis Phoebus and four Anyang players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mobis Phoebus moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Wonju DB. Anyang at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Mobis Phoebus is looking forward to face bottom-ranked KoGas (#10) in Inchon in the next round where they are favorite. Anyang will play on the road against LG Sakers (#3) in Changwon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
