Regular Season Round 5: KCC Egis - Seoul Knights 69-75

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked KCC Egis (2-5) lost to ninth ranked Seoul Knights (2-4) in Jeonju 69-75 on Monday. The former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-1988) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winning side and American center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) accounted for 15 points and 8 rebounds. The former international forward Guna Ra (203-1989, college: Missouri) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and international center Seung-Hyun Lee (201-1992) added 22 points respectively for KCC Egis in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion moved-up to seventh place, which they share with KoGas. KCC Egis lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Seoul Knights will meet higher ranked LG Sakers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KCC Egis will play against Suwon KT (#10) in Busan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
