Regular Season Round 1: KoGas - Wonju DB 98-78

There was a small surprise in Inchon where KoGas outscored Wonju DB 98-78 on Tuesday. They outrebounded Wonju DB 43-29 including 35 on the defensive glass. KoGas looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-1991, college: St.Bonaventure) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Hyo-Geun Jeong (200-1993) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Four KoGas players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Ethan Albano (185-1996) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and American forward Lennard Freeman (203-1995, college: NC State) scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. KoGas will meet Seoul Knights on the road in the next round. Wonju DB will play against Suwon KT and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
