Finals Game 3: Fubon Braves - Lioneers 116-101

Fubon Braves outgunned Lioneers to take 2-1 lead in the Finals. The game without a history. Fubon Braves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Fubon Braves forced 20 Lioneers turnovers. Strangely Lioneers outrebounded Fubon Braves 58-34 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 19 long-distance shots on high 52.8 percentage. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Lioneers' players. The best player for the winners was American forward Michael Singletary (198-1988, college: Texas Tech) who had a triple-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 11 assists. The former international guard Tsung-Hsien Chang (192-1988, college: BYU-Hawaii) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Singletary is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Fubon Braves players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points and 24 rebounds and American Nick Faust (198-1993, college: LBSU) added 28 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
