Lioneers dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Kings' 40. They outrebounded Kings 57-45 including 44 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Kings helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Indian-Canadian center Sim Bhullar (226-1992, college: NM State) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points and 19 rebounds for the winners. American Nick Faust (198-1993, college: LBSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. American center Thomas Welsh (213-1996, college: UCLA, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Deandre Liggins (198-1988, college: Kentucky) added 13 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Four Lioneers and five Kings players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
