Liaoning toppled Guangdong to open 2-0 lead. Flying Leopards dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Guandong Tigers' 36 and made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Guandong Tigers 49-28 including a 38-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Flying Leopards players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international Ailun Guo (189-1993) had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Eric Moreland (208-1991, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 14 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The former international Rui Zhao (195-1996) responded with 21 points and American swingman Sonny Weems (198-1986, college: Arkansas) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
