Regular Season Round 44: SK Knights - KT Sonicboom 81-90

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked SK Knights (38-13) in Seoul on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by second ranked KT Sonicboom (35-16) 90-81. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. The former international guard Hoon Heo (181-1995) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 4 assists. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Leon Williams (203-1986, college: Ohio) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Joon-Young Choi (200-1994) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for SK Knights. Four SK Knights players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KT Sonicboom maintains second position with 35-16 record having just three points less than leader SK Knights. SK Knights at the other side still keep top place with 13 games lost. KT Sonicboom are looking forward to face KoGas (#5) in Inchon in the next round. SK Knights will play on the road against Anyang KGC (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
