Very important is a road loss of third ranked Anyang KGC (30-21) against seventh ranked LG Sakers (24-29) on Saturday night. Visiting Anyang KGC was crushed by LG Sakers in Changwon 78-59. LG Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Anyang KGC's 30. They outrebounded Anyang KGC 51-26 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 22 rebounds and forward Kwang-jin Lee (194-1997) who added 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Park Jihoon (184-1995) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. LG Sakers maintains seventh position with 24-29 record. Defending champion Anyang KGC keeps the third place with 21 games lost. LG Sakers will play against DB Promy (#8) in Wonju in the next round.
