There was a surprise result in Jeonju where ninth ranked KCC Egis (19-30) beat higher ranked Anyang KGC (28-19) 88-74 on Sunday. KCC Egis dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Anyang KGC's 26. KCC Egis had a 35-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-1989, college: Missouri) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-1987) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) who recorded 20 points and the former international guard Junhyeong Byeon (186-1996) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively. Five Anyang KGC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KCC Egis maintains ninth position with 19-30 record. Defending champion Anyang KGC keeps the fourth place with 19 games lost. KCC Egis will meet higher ranked DB Promy (#8) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Anyang KGC will play against KoGas (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
