Regular Season Round 42: KT Sonicboom - Anyang KGC 95-71

Rather predictable result in Busan where second ranked KT Sonicboom (32-15) smashed 4th ranked Anyang KGC (28-19) 95-71 on Friday. KT Sonicboom dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Anyang KGC's 28. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jeong-Won Jung (178-1993) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Four KT Sonicboom players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American Omari Spellman (207-1997, college: Villanova) who recorded a double-double by scoring 15 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) added 16 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KT Sonicboom have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 32-15 record having seven points less than leader SK Knights. Defending champion Anyang KGC keeps the fourth place with 19 games lost. KT Sonicboom will meet at home KoGas (#6) in the next round. Anyang KGC will play against KoGas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
