Very expected game when 10th ranked Samsung Th. (9-40) lost on the road to fourth ranked Anyang KGC (28-17) 82-66 on Tuesday. Anyang KGC looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) nailed 14 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-1987) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds. Center Weon-Seok Lee (203-2000) came up with 15 points and 5 rebounds and center Minseok Cha (199-2001) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Samsung Th. in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Anyang KGC have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 28-17 record. Samsung Th. lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 40 lost games. Anyang KGC will meet KCC Egis (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Samsung Th. will play against DB Promy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
