Regular Season Round 27: Toyota BSR - Niigata R. 100-63

There was no surprise in Aichi where 10th ranked Niigata R. (6-21) was crushed by seventh ranked Toyota BSR (13-9) 100-63 on Tuesday. Toyota BSR made 24-of-26 free shots (92.3 percent) during the game, while Niigata R. only scored eight points from the stripe. Toyota BSR had a 26-14 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Niigata R.'s players. The best player for the winners was guard Asuka Hirasue (165-1998) who scored 13 points and 5 assists. Center Baiq Ghua (185-1992) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Four Toyota BSR players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Momo Miyasaka (163-1994) who recorded 13 points, 5 assists and 5 steals and forward Naomi Kitagawa (174-1994) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Toyota BSR. They moved-up to fifth place. Niigata R. lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 21 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
