Regular Season Round 26: Denso I. - Eneos S. 72-81

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Denso I. (18-3) against fourth ranked Eneos S. (16-5) on Saturday night. Host Denso I. was defeated by Eneos S. in a tough game in Kariya 72-81. Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Ririka Okuyama (180-2000) chipped in 27 points. The former international center Maki Takada (185-1989) produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and international center Akaho Himawari (184-1998) added 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Denso I.'s coach Marina Maljkovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eneos S. maintains fourth position with 16-5 record. Loser Denso I. dropped to the third place with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
