Regular Season Round 25: Fujitsu RW - Eneos S. 72-57

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fujitsu RW as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fujitsu RW defeated 4th placed Eneos S. in Kawasaki 72-57. Fujitsu RW dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Eneos S.'s 24. They outrebounded Eneos S. 46-34 including 20 on the offensive glass. The former international forward Yuki Miyazawa (183-1993, college: Queens, NY) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Mio Shinozaki (167-1991) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) responded with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international guard Saki Hayashi (173-1995) scored 10 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Eneos S. at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Eneos S. will play next round against strong Denso I. trying to get back on the winning streak. Fujitsu RW will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
