Regular Season Round 24: Fujitsu RW - Eneos S. 61-80

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Eneos S. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Eneos S. smashed second-best Fujitsu RW in Kawasaki 80-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Fujitsu RW. They outrebounded Fujitsu RW 47-29 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-1991) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international Saori Miyazaki (167-1995) contributed with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Eneos S. players scored in double figures. International point guard Rui Machida (162-1993) replied with 13 points and 5 assists and the former international power forward Monica Okoye (182-1999) added 15 points in the effort for Fujitsu RW. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Fujitsu RW at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Fujitsu RW will play next round against strong Eneos S. trying to get back on the winning streak. Eneos S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
