Regular Season Round 35: LG Sakers - DB Promy 82-77

The game in Changwon was also worth to mention about. 6th ranked DB Promy (19-23) played at the court of seventh ranked LG Sakers (19-23). LG Sakers managed to secure a 5-point victory 82-77. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of DB Promy. LG Sakers dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to DB Promy's 36. DB Promy was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 17 rebounds. The former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-1991) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. The former international guard Woong Heo (183-1993) came up with 32 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international center Jongkyu Kim (207-1991) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively for DB Promy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. LG Sakers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated DB Promy. LG Sakers will play against league's leader SK Knights in Seoul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. DB Promy will play at home against Samsung Th. (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
