The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Samsung Th.'s (7-27) road loss to ninth ranked KCC Egis (15-23) 71-99 on Sunday. KCC Egis made 32-of-39 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game, while Samsung Th. only scored ten points from the stripe. The former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) produced 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Dongseop Lim (198-90) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KCC Egis maintains ninth position with 15-23 record. Samsung Th. lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. KCC Egis will meet higher ranked Goyang Orions (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Samsung Th. will play against the league's second-placed Mobis Phoebus (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
