Regular Season Round 31: KCC Egis - SK Knights 72-86

KBL top team - SK Knights (28-8) managed to deliver another win on Friday. This time they beat ninth ranked KCC Egis (14-23) in Jeonju 86-72. SK Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to KCC Egis' 26. They outrebounded KCC Egis 48-36 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. The former international Joon-Young Choi (200-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. SK Knights' coach Hee-Chul Chun used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) added 12 points in the effort for KCC Egis. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SK Knights have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-8 record. KCC Egis at the other side keep the ninth position with 23 games lost. SK Knights are looking forward to face KT Sonicboom (#3) in Busan in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KCC Egis will play at home against Samsung Th. (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
