Regular Season Round 27: Anyang KGC - KCC Egis 81-80

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Anyang KGC (19-13) edged at home 9th ranked KCC Egis (12-21) 81-80 on Sunday. However just one-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Anyang KGC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: GMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. International guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-91) helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists (on 14-of-15 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Four KCC Egis players scored in double figures. KCC Egis' coach Kang Yangtaek rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 19-13 record. KCC Egis at the other side keep the ninth position with 21 games lost. Anyang KGC will meet at home Goyang Orions (#5) in the next round. KCC Egis will have a break next round.
