Regular Season Round 27: SK Knights - DB Promy 101-92

Very expected game in Seoul where 7th ranked DB Promy (16-18) was defeated by first ranked SK Knights (25-8) 101-92 on Saturday. SK Knights dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to DB Promy's 48. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for the former international Joon-Young Choi (200-94) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) helped adding 14 points and 9 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international center Jongkyu Kim (207-91) with 25 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Woong Heo (183-93) scored 13 points. Four SK Knights and five DB Promy players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for SK Knights. They maintain first place with 25-8 record. DB Promy at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 18 games lost. SK Knights will meet at home KoGas (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. DB Promy will play against Mobis Phoebus in Ulsan and hope to secure a win.
