Important game to mention about took place in Anyang. Seventh ranked LG Sakers (15-18) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging higher ranked Anyang KGC (18-12) 82-79 on Tuesday evening. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) notched a double-double by scoring 17 points, 16 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-88) supported him with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. LG Sakers' coach Sung-won Cho allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds by the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-87) did not help to save the game for Anyang KGC. International guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-91) added 19 points for the hosts. LG Sakers maintains seventh position with 15-18 record. Defending champion Anyang KGC keeps the third place with 12 games lost. LG Sakers will play against higher ranked DB Promy (#5) in Wonju in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Anyang KGC will play at home against KCC Egis and hopes to get back on the winning track.
