Leader Al Hilal delivered the fourteenth victory on Friday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Al Wehda (8-7) 82-71 in Riyadh. Al Hilal looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Antwan Scott (185-92, college: Colorado St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. International center Mohammed Alsuwailem (211-98) helped adding 21 points and 17 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international center Mohammed AlMarwani (206-89) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and American-Bahrain Wayne Chism (206-87, college: Tennessee) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Al Hilal maintains first place with 14-1 record. Loser Al Wehda keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with Al Fateh. Al Hilal will meet Al Fateh (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Al Wehda will play against Abha and hope to secure a win.
