Regular Season Round 24: Anyang KGC - SK Knights 66-67

Third-ranked Anyang KGC (17-11) made lots of trouble for first ranked SK Knights (22-8) on Sunday. The visitors from Seoul managed to secure only one-point victory 67-66. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Anyang KGC. SK Knights made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The best player for the winners was American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. The former international guard Sunh-Yung Kim (187-88) chipped in 22 points. SK Knights' coach Hee-Chul Chun used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) who recorded 6 points, 19 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international center Sek-Eun Oh (200-87) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively. SK Knights have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-8 record. Defending champion Anyang KGC keeps the third place with 11 games lost. SK Knights are looking forward to face LG Sakers (#7) in Changwon in the next round where they are favorite. Anyang KGC will play at home against KoGas (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
