The game in Hitachinaka was also quite interesting. Third ranked Eneos S. (15-3) played at the court of 8th ranked Hitachi Cougars (6-10). Eneos S. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 77-59 on Sunday. Eneos S. made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Hitachi Cougars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international center Kadysha Umezawa (190-98) who scored 23 points and 7 rebounds. The former international guard Saki Hayashi (173-95) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. Four Eneos S. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Senegalese center Daramee Malem-Doi (187-97) who recorded 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international center Rika Tanimura (185-93) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Hitachi Cougars' coach Tomohide Utsumi rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Eneos S. maintains third position with 15-3 record having just two points less than leader Fujitsu RW. Hitachi Cougars lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with ten games lost. Eneos S. will meet Mitsubishi K. (#5) in the next round. Hitachi Cougars will play against Toyota A. and hope to secure a win.
