Regular Season Round 24: KCC Egis - LG Sakers 86-90

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked KCC Egis' (10-19) home loss to eighth ranked LG Sakers (14-17) 86-90 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists and Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-88) who added 24 points during the contest. Four LG Sakers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Chang-Yong Song (192-87) scored 14 points and 4 assists. KCC Egis' coach Kang Yangtaek tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. LG Sakers moved-up to seventh place. KCC Egis lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with 19 games lost. LG Sakers will meet league's leader SK Knights in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KCC Egis will play against DB Promy (#5) in Wonju and hope to secure a win.
