Regular Season Round 24: Samsung Th. - KoGas 85-73

There was a minor upset in Seoul where 7th ranked KoGas (13-17) were defeated by bottom-ranked Samsung Th. (7-23) 85-73 on Friday. Samsung Th. outrebounded KoGas 44-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian forward Daniel Ochefu (211-93, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American Thomas Robinson (208-91, college: Kansas) who added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Samsung Th. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Kyungmin Doo (184-91) with 16 points and 6 assists and American center Cliff Alexander (203-95, college: Kansas) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. KoGas' coach Yoo Hoon tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Samsung Th. maintains tenth position with 7-23 record. Loser KoGas dropped to the eighth place with 17 games lost. Samsung Th. will meet at home higher ranked Mobis Phoebus (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. KoGas will play against Anyang KGC (#3) and hope to secure a win.
