Regular Season Round 23: KT Sonicboom - DB Promy 76-87

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked KT Sonicboom (20-8) in Busan on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked DB Promy (13-15) 87-76. It was a great evening for the former international center Jongkyu Kim (207-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-93, college: LSU) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Four DB Promy players scored in double figures. The former international guard Hoon Heo (181-95) responded with 19 points and the former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-97) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DB Promy moved-up to sixth place, which they share with KoGas. KT Sonicboom at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They share it with SK Knights. DB Promy is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Samsung Th. (#10) in Seoul in the next round. KT Sonicboom will play at home against KCC Egis (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
