Regular Season Round 15: Fujitsu RW - Yamanashi QB 95-68

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Fujitsu RW as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Fujitsu RW smashed 10th ranked Yamanashi QB in Kawasaki 95-68. They outrebounded Yamanashi QB 49-38 including 18 on the offensive glass. Fujitsu RW looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Monica Okoye (182-99) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. International point guard Rui Machida (162-93) helped adding 17 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Fujitsu RW players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Aimi Wakahara (171-96) with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Airi Tomita (184-97) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fujitsu RW (16-0) have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Yamanashi QB at the other side keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
