Regular Season Round 21: Anyang KGC - DB Promy 90-89

The most exciting game of round 21 in the KBL took place in Anyang. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked DB Promy (12-15) to third ranked Anyang KGC (15-10) 90-89 on Friday evening. Anyang KGC looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) who saved his team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The former international forward Seonggon Moon (193-93) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Woong Heo (183-93) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 assists and American power forward Johnny OBryant III (207-93, college: LSU) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for DB Promy. Five Anyang KGC and four DB Promy players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Defending champion maintains third place with 15-10 record having four points less than leader KT Sonicboom. DB Promy at the other side keeps the seventh position with 15 games lost. Anyang KGC are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Samsung Th. (#10) in Seoul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. DB Promy will have a break next round.
