An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Busan. First ranked KT Sonicboom faced second-ranked SK Knights. Host KT Sonicboom (18-6) defeated guests from Seoul (17-8) 86-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SK Knights. KT Sonicboom made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-97) contributed with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Five KT Sonicboom players scored in double figures. American center Jameel Warney (203-94, college: Stony Brook) replied with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds and the former international forward Youngjun An (195-95) added 21 points and 4 steals in the effort for SK Knights. SK Knights' coach Hee-Chul Chun tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. KT Sonicboom have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-6 record. SK Knights at the other side keep the second place with eight games lost. KT Sonicboom will play against Goyang Orions (#4) in Daegu in the next round. SK Knights will play at home against KoGas and hope to get back on the winning track.
