Regular Season Round 20: LG Sakers - DB Promy 84-75

There was a minor upset in Changwon where 7th ranked DB Promy (12-14) was defeated by ninth ranked LG Sakers (11-15) 84-75 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 20 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and the former international point guard Jae-Do Lee (180-91) who added 12 points and 7 assists during the contest. Five LG Sakers players scored in double figures. Junhee Lee responded with 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international guard Woong Heo (183-93) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LG Sakers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Loser DB Promy keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. LG Sakers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. DB Promy will play against Anyang KGC (#3) and hope to secure a win.
