No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Al Ittihad (10-3) beat 6th ranked Al Fateh (7-6) in Jeddah 102-85 on Monday. Al Ittihad looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Al Fateh's players. The former international Mathna Almarwani (186-92) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and Tunisian point guard Omar Abada (189-93) accounted for 23 points and 15 assists. Four Al Ittihad players scored in double figures. Algerian forward Mohamed Harat (198-90) came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (195-84, college: CSUN) added 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds respectively for Al Fateh in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Al Ittihad. They maintain fourth place with 10-3 record. Al Fateh at the other side dropped to the fifth position with six games lost. They share it with Al Ansar and Al Wehda.
